Hi, my name is Karen. I was born in London but grew up in beautiful Switzerland. Here I worked many years successfully as managing assistant, for different companies. As I always had a good feeling for the needs of others I decided to start all over again. People always said that I had good hands.

In 1998 I started my education as wellness therapist and finished it successfully in 2000. And since 2009 I’m in education as a natural healing therapist. I have completed several seminars and my knowledge has widened. Since April 2012 I’m working independently in a suburb of Zurich.

I am fully qualified in swedish massage, deep tissue, foot-, head-, ear-, hand- and foot-reflexology, suction cupping, aroma massage, manual lymphatic drainage. I treat every client individually, as every one is unique.

My name is Kirstie and I have been professionally qualified since 1999, I currently offer a wide range of therapeutic treatments: Acupressure, Aromatherapy, Bach Flower Remedies, Equine Sports Massage, Indian Head Massage, Hot Stone Therapy, Pregnancy massage with Shiatsu techniques, Reiki Master, Reiki for Animals, Remedial (Deep tissue) Massage, Swedish massage and The Metamorphic Technique.

Over the last 12 years my career includes managing my own holistic therapy studio; mobile corporate massage including Halifax plc; working with riders and horses at international equestrian competitions.

Currently I work part time as a Holistic Massage Therapist and help rehabilitate rescue horses for a local sanctuary.

Ok a little bit about the horses

Horses aren’t polite they are reactionary if they are in pain they will bite, kick… well you get the idea… I have learnt more about muscles than any text book can give me; but that is down to experience. When you provide a person with that much needed nights sleep… it all comes back to this: ‘Therapy through touch’ so true.

Hi, I’m Sarah. I sprang from The Isle of Man (home to the TT motorbike races) and grew up in the ‘Black Country’ (a spirited region! – Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Judas Priest, Duran Duran and UB40 to name but a few). I currently live in Birmingham, UK.

I am a fully qualified Holistic Therapist with over 12 years experience practicing in Aromatherapy, Ayurvedic Marma Massage, Indian Head Massage, Reiki, Reflexology, Sports Massage and Tibetan Acupressure Head Massage.

After completing a Complimentary Therapy Course in 2000, I continued to study and gained further qualifications in Ayurvedic Marma Massage (under the tuition of the UK’s leading Ayurvedic Physician) and Reiki 1, 2 and Master/Teacher courses. I have worked as a Practice Manager and resident therapist for a reputable holistic health clinic gaining experience in many areas and have contributed my knowledge and skills to ‘What’s On’ magazine, ‘Ziptang’, The Birmingham Post and made an appearance on ‘Raj TV’ promoting reflexology.

I am known for my thorough and strong deep tissue massage and like to cultivate a totally unique treatment where I integrate all of my knowledge and technique for the specific needs of my client. My combination of varied massage techniques, energy work and ancient ‘Marma Point Therapy’ are designed to provide an enjoyable feeling of constant physical, emotional, mental and spiritual wellness within and around the whole being.

Hi, my name is Debbie and I live on the South Coast of Portsmouth.

I began a VTCT Level 3 Swedish Massage course in 2004 and since have progressed in qualifying in various other therapies including: Swedish, Aromatherapy and Sports Massage, Reflexology, Indian Head Massage, Reiki, Hopi Ear Candling.

I have utilized my skills giving treatments to Cancer Patients, Relatives Carers, Consultants and staff at the MacMillan Information & Support Centre for the Portsmouth Hospital Trust for 5 years on a voluntary basis, which has given me considerable experience with clients of all walks of life.

I give treatments in my spare time at home to family, friends, work colleagues & various clients to both male and female.

I am a full member of the FHT (Federation of Holistic Therapists) and am fully insured by their Insurance Company.

In the Summer of 2009, I was invited to take part in a National Strategy Project initiated by the Romanian Government teaching massage to a group of A Level students both Romanian and English to carry out Aromatherapy to Special Needs Orphans as part of an Enrichment Curriculum.

Hi, my name is Ryan and I am a massage and holistic therapist based in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Massage therapy seemed an obvious vocation for me because it allowed me to marry my fascination with the inner workings of the human body and my desire to have the ability to make people feel better and achieve their potential; it is very rewarding work.

I studied at Belfast Metropolitan College and achieved VTCT qualifications in Swedish body massage, Acupressure massage and Indian head massage. Included in these qualifications were modules on Anatomy and Physiology and also Health, Safety and Security Standards. I am currently studying Stone Therapy or Geothermal Therapy and I am due to qualify in summer 2011.

I am registered with the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT – my professional body) and I am also insured by their underwriters. I run my own business from my home office just outside the City Centre and the business has been growing steadily since it opened in 2010.

Hi, it's Pirkka from Helsinki Finland. Before my career in massage I did physical jobs such as construction and wrecking crew jobs, while my plan was to study languages in university. Still, I guess I knew my heart was never really into that sort of studies, so I kept my eyes open. Luckily I found massaging, and while studying swedish and sports massage and gym instructing I found my calling.

Hi my name is Becky and I live and work in Birmingham. 


Having worked as a surveyor, I decided that I was looking for a change in career direction that involved working more directly with people. So in September 2009, I started to study holistic massage and became hooked. I had no idea that I would fall in love with it the way that I have. 


In July 2010, I qualified as a massage therapist. I get great satisfaction from working with people on a very real and natural level and seeing the very positive benefits of the massage.
