I am a fixer that dives deep into issue areas, often with a new and unique paradigm. I graduated with my Doctorate of Chiropractic with Sports Emphasis from NWHSU in Bloomington MN. I am currently working on my diplomate in Neurology. Which basically means I am a total nerd and it is always good to have a nerdy doctor. I have studied under one of the best sports chiropractors in the world, another doctor that literally created and found a whole new field in chiropractic care, and a functional neurologist that has less than 10 peers in the world. Prior to this I was a Marine Corps infantryman. In short, I make a point to surround myself with greatness so I can do great things. I utilize a lot of soft tissue work with a variety of adjusting techniques. When I need to I map out brains and reprogram them I do that. I will also dive deep into motor patterns when necessary. I waste little time and prefer to make big changes in a relatively short amount of time without rushing through care.

She is currently obtaining her Thai Massage certification. Her areas of independent study and interest include her family, friends and making movies.
I have practiced massage for over 20 years and continue to learn and evolve my treatment methodology. I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a BA in Psychology and Studio Arts(1998), and left feeling that balanced health consisted of more than talk therapy. I continued my studies at the Aveda Institute(2001) in massage therapy, went on to intern with an Ayurvedic physician(2001), and followed that by intensive training at the Yoga Center(2007) for 2 levels of Thai massage. Most recently I went to Thailand to learn reflexology(2008) at the Old Medicine Hospital in Chiang Mai, and this past fall completed a certificate program at the American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine(2012) in TuiNa, or Chinese Medical Massage.
I practice a blend of the modalities that I know, and am able to treat patients, seated, laying down, clothed, or unclothed. I utilize massage as a relaxation method and to treat specific conditions such as depression, migraines, menstrual irregularities, fatigue, and chronic joint pain, as well as digestive issues, in addition to smoothing and declunking troublesome muscle groups. Massage allows the body to engage in healing itself through unblocking energetic pathways and stimulating organ systems to increase or decrease their activity.
Traditionally, Thai massage is done in loose clothing on a mat on the floor, it stretches the body and works through the energy meridians of the body in order to create balance throughout. TuiNa targets aches and pains and specific medical conditions though a deep systematic terrain, and is based in Traditional Chinese Medical Theory, best known for acupuncture here in the west. Swedish and Esalan massage modalities are deeply relaxing, and productive in allowing a freer flow of energy throughout the body with the use of oil and long flowing strokes and moving pressure.
In addition to my wonder and practice with the body/mind/spirit, I am also a painter and muralist. I love to read about theology, mysticism, and philosophy and to form a greater understanding of our place in this world through people.

Hello, my name is Racheal! Providing ancient healing arts for the artist.
Music has been my life from a young age and has shaped almost every part of my lifestyle throughout the years. Home away from home for the last almost 10 years has been the legendary First Avenue and 7th Street Entry, where I bartend, soak in music, massage and even perform. You can hear and see me taking the stage with my own band as well as any karaoke bar within reach. Combining my love of music with my passion for the healing arts is a necessary step in my career and it would be an honor and privilege to share my work with you.
My amazing education at Centerpoint School of Massage and Shiatsu focused on the intensive East/West program, which includes swedish, therapeutic, trigger point therapy, shiatsu techniques, cupping and Traditional Chinese Medicine. My knowledge and interest has expanded to include Thai massage, lymph drainage, pregnancy, hot stone, aromatherapy and body treatments. I integrate these healing therapies, working with clients to develop a personalized treatment based on their needs. I believe treatments can and should include rehabilitation combined with energetic meridian work for a deeply therapeutic experience.
Working as a massage therapist within a spa and chiropractic environment have fine tuned my practice and along with over 15 years in customer service, I am prepared for pretty much anything. Previous on location and band experience has included talent and their crew on a local Minneapolis level as well as national acts. My ability and willingness to adapt to any travel circumstance is a definite must in this line of work. I believe my professional, dependable rock lifestyle, strong work ethic and positive attitude will mesh well with any situation.
My life already includes working closely with musical and creative individuals, expanding that to a new level is definitely a part of my vision. Thank you for your time and I look forward to working with you!
