“I kissed a girl and I liked it” (Katy Perry packs the Fillmore in NYC)

I only knew THAT Katy Perry song until last night when I was backstage massaging at her concert. I was pleasantly surprised to hear her show is very rock and roll. She has a going ON! Young, hot, sexy, cheeky and a voice that will bring her really far in the music biz. I sat in her dressing room and couldn't help but watch her get undressed, dressed and undressed and dressed again (I was trying NOT to look but the room was too small to swing a cat it and she is NOT shy). I thought to myself, how many men would DROLL watching this scene here?

She, her super tight band and whole entourage have been using the Dr. Dot team for massages for months now and I finally got to meet them all. It is so cute how there is always one manager who introduces me to everyone that walks in “This is Dr. Dot, you know THE Dr. Dot, the one who runs the whole shebang, the whole team, the guru!” Everyone is always so nice to me after such an intro. Naturally I show them what all the hype is about by whipping out my oil holster and getting down to business by rubbing everyone down with gusto. By the way, I am not sugar coating things here, the whole entourage are super friendly and helpful. Very cool bunch.

A grand night out

So it's been a while since I've seen my friend Jill. She is from London but her Mom was from Barbados. She has a sweet English accent and is a total rock chick. You may remember her from my Motorhead Blog . She lives in London but comes back to NYC often as she has a flat in Brooklyn. Anyways, even though she may not LOOK like a rocker, she is. Whenever we go out to karaoke, she sings Led Zepp or some other hard core rock band. She tells it like it is and I adore her.

I WILL pass the scratch and sniff test.

"Every girl's crazy bout a sharp dressed man" ^

"she only comes out a night, The lean and hungry type
Nothing is new, Ive seen her here before
Watching and waiting
Shes sitting with you but her eyes are on the door….ooo wooo, here she

comes, watch out boy, she'll chew you up, woooo oooh here she comes,

she's a man eater"

Ok. let me explain who THAT^  is. I have been going to Iggy's karaoke bar for a few years and Mariam is a fixture in the joint. She never shows up until after midnight, when all guys are good and drunk and sure enough, this sugar mama scores every time. She absolutely LOVES my friend Jonesy, but it's been so long since he's been there (and his hair is darker now) she didn't even recognize him last time we went in to sing. She kept comin up to him saying "don't I know you?" and he tried to avoid eye contact as she really crowds him ALL night. He even had the DJ call him under his real name "Chris" so she wouldn't suspect that it was really him. heh heh.

Jill on the mic. Sandwiched by two NYC men

I could not stop laughing at Jill giving Jacob (below)  shit for farting in my car. She was BRUTAL on the poor guy.

Looks better than he smells ^  Jacob, aka "Mr. Farty pants"

Told Jacob to "get an enema to clean out your smelly rancid fucking ASS!"

After karaoke we had an after hours party in my car. Burning herbs and incense to make my car smell nicer, and to TRY and combat our pal Jacob's GAS problem (which smelt like a year old bag of hard boiled eggs). Had we lit a match in my car, it would have surely exploded. He LOVES Led Zepp and Hendrix, as do Jill and I so it is fun hanging out and jammin with him but daaaaaaaaaaaaam. My eyes were watering from his smelly ass. I am starting to think this bout of Bronchitis I have wasn't triggered by jogging in the cold, but from inhaling his lethal gas. FUCK!! Yet another downside of going out to Irish pubs to sing karaoke.

St. Patricks Day in NYC smells like a fuming compost heap of beans, beer and rotten eggs inside stinky socks by the way. Not for the faint of heart or people who have excellent sense of smell like me. Sorry if I am making your stomach turn, but you know how misery loves company…

I am working on a few more blogs since I am home sick so lets see how much I get done. Fucking bloody cold here in NYC, we got hammered by snow AGAIN. Mother Nature is on a rampage. I still hear Florida calling my name "Dot, come back, bake in the sun" but I also hear Berlin calling "Dot come back and freeze in the miserable below zero Berlin winter" ha ha. Oh the choices.

Our new flyer

On the actual flyer it has my phone numbers on it, but I colored over it for the net, too many folks calling my number to chat, I am too busy to discuss the weather unfortunately

You likey?

The kind of stuff that makes my job oh so worth it..

Woke up today to hundreds of emails to plow through, yet this is the one that made me feel all warm inside. sigh:

Hey there Dr. Dot!! I graduate in one freakin month from Massage! Yay! Anywho, I am the "Black Sheep" in my class. Lol, I am edgier, I am open, opinionated, and fun. After realizing how Motivated I am to excel, my way, in a predominantly "stiff" massage world, my teacher told me about you. He said "youre more her speed" lol. I noticed you dont have anyone in El Paso on the Dr. Dot board, so after I graduate I'm gonna kick my own ass if I dont at least give it a shot to be a part of the Dr. Dot experience.
So be on the lookout for me! And thanx for showin the world that massage can be Therapuetic AND Fun!!! Keep it Rockin!

Leaving Berlin for a while :(

Going mad here trying to pack for my trip to NYC. I will be there a few months, not even sure how long this time. I do NOT want to leave Berlin. I love it here now. How crazy is that? I always do things ass backwards, ugh!!

Anyhow, I interviewed Joe Jackson for the Exberliner magazine, the English magazine for Germany; same one I have been writing my sex column for since it began 6 years ago. Joe is very private and I was surprised he agreed to do the interview at all and NOW, I am proud to say, it is the cover story and his picture takes up the whole cover of the September issue. Guess I will only be able to see it online as I am leaving to NYC in a few days.

Recently I have had many friends pass through Berlin and I showed them around a bit, as much as I could. First, Norm, my buddy from San Diego and bassist for the band Hard Echo came to Berlin-

then Tina, Robin, John and Shirley who are ALL  into Frank Zappa as much as I am, came this past Monday, and they brought two friends along with them as well (they all went to thZappanale , the same Zappa festival I went to last summer). I sadly didn't make it this year, but will be there next summer, hopefully. They passed through Berlin and we all went out and explored and quoted Zappa all night, wicked fun!!

Here are some pics..

Hard Echo in the house!!  ^ (Norm is the Blonde and "Prince Harry" is on the right πŸ™‚

Standard tourist spot, the bombed "blue church" on the Ku'Damm ^

Tina and I at Potsdamer Platz ^

Robin and I ^ at same tourist trap (gasp, pieces of the WALL! oh my my)

Robin, Shirley, Tina and John a the Brandenburger Tor (gate) ^

John, from Chicago, is a massive Zappa fan and knows Cynthia Plaster-Caster personally (hoping I can get a good deal on the Jimi Hendrix cock replica (below)  Laughing

Raising ^ HELL in Murry's Irish pub at 1am (they had to be at airport by 5am, YIKES!)

Looking forward to going back home to NYC, to see Jasmine and then up to CT  for my class reunion and THEN to Boston to visit friends, family and loved ones and my DAWGY Frankie is in CT waiting for me too, but I am truly gutted to leave Berlin. This time its really hard because I know Jasmine will be studying for 4 years in NYC, so coming back to Berlin won't be so urgent. I know people all over the world, but I have more real friends in Berlin than anywhere else. It takes YEARS to earn someone's friendship here in Berlin, but once you do, you can trust them with your house keys, bank card, child, everything. My heart is truly torn in two (Berlin/NYC). Funny thing is, Joe Jackson is in the same boat. He too loves Berlin and NYC and he too, can't decide. So we both go on, living in both places. It's great knowing someone else in the same boat. sigh.

I have to go pack
