NYC tonight
I feel sooooo guilty for not blogging properly in so long. I am so mad busy. I use twitter daily as it is easier and I can do it anywhere. I am on twitter as dr_dot by the way.
Looking for an apartment in the NYC area as I need more space, office space etc. My company is official now, so I am working my tail off to get things all lined up. Weather is GORGEOUS here in NYC lately, Spring is finally at our door. Not even bothered about going back to Berlin until Jasmine heads over. I do miss a few certain people but I do NOT miss being hated on a daily basis just for being an American. We can not choose where we are born. BUT we can avoid places that hate us innit? I can not help it that Berliners hate Americans. It is COOL to hate Americans over there. No matter HOW hard you try or even if you don't try, you just can't win, they just fucking hate Americans. Sucks because Berlin is such a pretty city with lots to do, but it wears you down defending yourself over and over again. I have just grown tired of it now and what bad timing too, as I just had found my dream apartment with the help of a dear friend last August. FUCK I always do everything backwards. All those years in Berlin in and out of shitty apartments and now that I am done with it, I find my dream apartment. OMFG!!!!!!!!
It is 5am, just NOW done answering today's emails, that is why I never blog, I am so swamped, answering emails, by the time I am done, the last thing on my mind is writing (or even wanking). BUT my face hurts from laughing so much here in the states. People LOVE TO LAUGH here. Makes live so much easier. Berliners, take note.
Gotta sleep

My name is Daryl and I am a NYS Licensed Acupuncturist and Massage Therapist. Like many of Dr. Dot’s assistants, I have made massage and healing therapies my life’s work. I
presently work in the Big Apple providing therapeutic massage work to many a
stressed out New Yorker. I may only be 5 foot 1 but don’t let that fool you… If you
need deep work, I’m your girl! My style of massage tends to be a mix of Eastern
and Western modalities, including Swedish, Shiatsu, Deep Tissue, Sports, Trigger
Point and Myofacial Release work. I am creative and intuitive, always remaining
focused on the needs of my clients. I am also certified to do Healing (Hot/Cold)
Stone massage and Pre/Post Natal massage.
In addition to my Associate’s degree in Massage Therapy from the Swedish Institute,
I hold a Bachelor’s in English from SUNY Buffalo and will be starting a Master’s in
Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at Pacific College, this Fall ‘06.
What got me to Dot? I saw her on TV a couple of years ago and when I heard
she was looking for a NYC assistant, I jumped at the chance to be part of her team.
It’s important for entertainers to be able to perform their best. Massage can help
Keep you less stressed and in peak physical shape in order to rock our world!
In Dr. Dot fashion, I am a true lover of music as well! My favorite concerts will
always be Lenny Kravitz ‘92, Phil Collins ’87, the Black Crowes Oct, 29, 2001 @ the
Beacon, Metallica summer ‘92, Sting opening for the Dead in Chicago and all the
Grateful Dead shows through my years in college.
So now that you’re here in the city that never sleeps, come see me for a session to
work out all your kinks! Oh did I mention I give a killer foot massage?
Clapton/Beck show in NYC
Sounded to good to be true at first, but turned out to be ear candy galore. Clapton and Beck touring together. Ahhhh. Like butter. I was asked to go to Madison Square Gardens for both shows to give complimentary massages since I am the boss; to heal a few band members and it was insanely cool, as usual. Being in Jeff Becks presence is always FUN and I talked to Eric in the hallway a minute about “the fussball match” we had in Berlin years ago. He remember and laughed (well I got the first four goals, then he wiped the floor with me, I never got another goal in three straight games). He was looking as handsome as ever. Like a fine wine he just gets better.
One thing about MSG is it’s like fort knox- takes FOREVER to get in, even if you are on the list and WORKING there. But I guess they have to be that way, since 9/11 and all.
Also, stars are not as personable when they are backstage at MSG. Everyone acts like a machine there, like they are on stage, even when they are backstage, but then again, it IS Madison Square Gardens. I prefer when they play smaller venues; then they relax more, let their hair down and really have fun and let loose. It seems they are surrounded by press at MSG and have to keep their “star suit” on you know?
I was there for the Jeff Beck camp so I didn’t see much of the Clapton show at all but I HEARD it all. I am partial to Beck, I feel he stole the show, but that’s just me.
I don’t have the Clapton set list, sorry. This pic below is from the time Eric whooped my ass at fussball (table soccer). He is a wizard at that game. Hardly anyone has ever scored against me let alone won, but Mr. Slow-hand WILL win against anyone, it seems. He is the best at it. Seriously. Not sure about this tour, but last time he had a fussball table on tour with him, a really professional one, had a leveler and all.
Enter Rhonda Smith, Becks new choice for BASS. Let me just say she is MILES better and cooler, kinder, funnier, funkier and more talented then his last bassist. I don’t wanna hear how “young and cute” his last bassist is. She isn’t that young; she is 26, she is just SHORT which makes all of the horny fucks in the audience think she is “so young” and cute. Age and appearance don’t matter when it comes to playing bass and Rhonda, in my opinion, is AMAZING. Nice choice Jeff!! Rhonda toured with Prince for YEARS. Check her out:
One of the highlights for me those two nights was seeing and talking to Mr. Roger Waters again. He stood near me while watching the last few songs of Jeff Becks set at the 2nd show. Seems no one else recognized him but me when he came out to watch. We talked after the show and I asked him if he remembered the massage I gave him in Berlin and he said “how could I forget that?”. Gave him my new laminated flyer. SWOON!! I was massaging the drummer in one of the backstage lounge rooms and Roger walked in and joked “Oh I see you’ve no time for my massage Dot. Cheeky git” and we all just had a giggle. Told him it would just be five more minutes but Roger left. Ugh. I wish there were two of me.

Snowed in, in NYC
This was taken 13 hours ago, it's much worse now. Now I can't even see my car at ALL. lol. I am grateful I have an apartment with heat. I try to imagine how the American Indians used to live in this weather. Must have been a nightmare. Counting my blessings and going to bed with pooh

“Enjoy the Silence”
Massaged Dave (Depeche Mode) Gahan again today, he is sooooo nice. Super healthy and fit; I swear he just gets younger every year 🙂
Again we listened to his iPod mix of Sigur Ros, he is getting me hooked them now. Great music for massage. I am going to see their (Depeche Mode) show tomorrow thanks to Dave's generosity (and his super polite assistant Tim).
Anyways, a friend of mine Bebe Buell is going to perform next week in NYC and FUCK, I will miss it as I will be in the UK to massage Nickelback and my favorite client, Simon Cowell. You can't be everywhere at once, innit?
I would LOVE to see/hear Bebe's show, I heard her before in NYC and she is sex on legs, ear candy, eye candy and you just have to love her.
Bad news: I have a kidney infection/urinary track infection, ugh!! No more wanking for a while I guess. That seems to throw me off balance, I am so sensitive. (I know, too much information, got it). I am on antibiotics again and these pills make me nauseous and dizzy and I sleep for two hours heavily, then I am awake for HOURS and can't fall back to sleep. SUPER annoying!
Gotta go, gotta eat, starving. I am on twitter more than here nowadays (dr_dot) so if you are on there, hit me up. ttyl

Jimi Hendrix’s 67th Birthday bash in NYC ( BB King club)
So here are some pictures I took at the show…..
Lance Lopez , headlining!
Me, Lance and Katelin before the show. I introduced Katelin to Lance online and suggested he let her play a tune during her trip to NYC and he did and everyone loved their jam.
Lance's last minute set list^ (which he forgot in dressing room 🙂
Lance, who normally plays guitar, told me he learned drums first when he was little. He took to the drums to let little Tallan Noble Latz (age 9) play guitar and Katelin Deutsch (age 10) play bass, during a fucking ridiculously amazing rendition of VooDoo Chile. OMFG, they received a standing ovation. Respect!!
Lance Lopez in action (sorry, this one was taken with my crackberry ^)
Lance plays so similar to Jimi, if you close your eyes and just listen, you swear you're listening to the real thing.
I have heard many people try to play Jimi, but Lance, in my opinion, nails it the best. Hands down. He is on fire!!
Katelin in the groove! Tal Wilkenfeld better watch her back. Katelin is amazing and is NOT a snotty bitch like Tal. (this is not an opinion, it is pretty much a known fact, Tal is arrogant as fuuuuuuuuuuuck). tsk tsk, be nice to the folks on the way up as you will probably meet them again on your way down.
This one too ^ (Popa Chubby warming up backstage)
Lance's view of PACKED BB King club (full of lovely Hendrix fans, aaaaaahhhhhhhh)
The drummer (sorry, name slips my mind, but he was killer)
