24 hour massage service San Francisco, California

Book me: info@drdot.com and write: “Christy/SanFrancisco ” in subject line πŸ™‚Β

Christy has been in the Healing Arts for 12 years. Structural Integration is the foundation and focus of her bodywork along with Cranial Sacral, Pre-Natal, Shiatsu and Thai. She is also a neck and shoulder specialist. She delivers her sessions with logical/intuitive intelligence coming across simultaneously both with strength and sensitivity.

The results are the unraveling of old fascial patterns, the release of core tensions, greater flexibility, lightness in the body, and sustainable long term healing. Christy works DEEPLY like a fine tuned surgeon and follows the patterns of tension as they appear throughout the body. Working systematically she lengthens and purifies the fascia, restoring movement to a new balance within gravity. Old traumas find release, overused muscles unwind….and the mind finds its resting point. The result? Balance, Integrity, Peace.

24 hour massage service Bremen, Germany

Book me: info@drdot.com and write: "Bettina/Germany" in subject line πŸ™‚

Hi, my name is Bettina and live in Bremen, Germany. Before I started to work with massages, I studied classical music (piano). Massaging people has always been part of my life, and encouraged by a lot of feedback about my good hands, I decided to get a training in massages and work on a professional level.

From 2002 until today I got to know different techniques, such as Hawaiian massage or Shiatsu. And in summer 2010 I have learned one of the most effective deep massage so far: somatic integrations. My biggest concern in massage is to really be in contact with my hands with what people actually need. And I definitely enjoy my work very much.

Guest article for Dr. Dot blog about Massage Therapy Benefits by Emma Summers

Using Massage Therapy as a Complementary Treatment Option

For those patients with cancer and other terminal illnesses, battling stress and depression can be a daily occurrence. Hectic schedules of physician visits, treatment and testing coupled with the actual disease can be hard on anybody.

Even though routine treatment options such as chemo and radiation are still commonplace, a number of complementary therapy options are being used to help cut down on patients’ stress levels and side effects from treatment. One of the great options in complementary therapy is massage therapy, which can have both a positive physical and mental effect on patients.

The use of massage as a complementary therapy is geared to change the way patients are feeling, both inside and out. Massage allows them to take part in an activity that is geared to clear their minds and enter a totally relaxed state, something that is rare to have during the post-diagnosis stage. From a mental standpoint, the ability for massage therapy to have such a great impact on patients’ peace of mind is outstanding.

Besides the mental aspect, massage therapy has a great ability to have an excellent effect on numerous physical aspects with each patient. Of course, there would be a number of benefits that nearly everyone who undertakes massage therapy would experience. These include an improved range of motion, flexibility, muscle function and strength. When it comes to cancer patients using massage therapy, the most important benefit could be its ability to reduce the side effects that are common with routine forms of therapy.

Radiation and chemo are known for having some extremely debilitating side effects. These types of routine treatment are still commonly used by patients with lung cancer, mesothelioma and breast cancer among many others. The side effects include nausea, muscle pain and extreme fatigue. Luckily, many cancer patients have used massage therapy as a tool to help cut down on these side effects, allowing their body to become heavily relaxed.

There are loads of options in complementary therapies and they continue to grow as physicians continue to explore avenues of keeping their patients in the best condition possible. Even with the growth and expansion of complementary options, massage therapy will continue to be a popular choice for cancer patients because of its ability to mix both physical and mental benefits.

Book me: info@drdot.com and write: "Beth/Oklahoma" in subject line πŸ™‚

Hey, Y'all…. My name is Beth and I have lived in Oklahoma for most of my life and am proud to be called an "Okie". I am the mother of 2 children, with whom I enjoy spending free time with, I also play piano, enjoy watching a good movie and I love to read. I began 'dabbling' in massage when was in Junior High School.

My mother had triple scoliosis and had to have hardware placed in her back along the spine through multiple surgeries. She was allergic to every kind of medication that would have been able to help, so Massage and Chiropractic were the only things that gave her any real relief. In High School I worked on the school teacher, coaches, marching band members, cheerleaders and athletes. After High School, I did massage mostly on family members, friends and co-workers.

I was always being asked to work on an aching muscle or joint, or a stiff neck and tense shoulders. Getting rid of headaches was always helpful as well. I really enjoyed knowing I was helping someone feel better. I have worked in many capacities in the medical field for over 20 years. I like to think of myself as being knowledgeable in many aspects of the body and what it needs. If I come across something I don't know about, I will research the topic to learn as much as I possibly can.

I absolutely love to learn new things! I specialize in Deep Tissue, Deep Swedish, Myofascial Release Techniques, Stretching, CranioSacral Therapy, Lymph Drainage and Thai Massage. I believe the massage is an integral part of a preventative lifestyle and can be a very healing element. I am excited to be a part of Dr. Dot's team!

24 Hour Massage service San Antonio, Texas

Book me: info@drdot.com and put "Eden/San Antonio" in the subject line πŸ™‚

Hello! My name is Eden and I was born and raised here in Texas. I received my training from Austin Schools of Massage, and have been working as a massage therapist full time since early 2009.

I specialize in: Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Sports Massage, Myofascial Release, Lymphatic Drainage, and Neuromuscular Therapy. Every massage is different, and I usually combine different techniques to get the results that are needed. My favorite thing about my job is, helping people, making them feel better, especially those who are plagued with constant pain.

I grew up always listening to music. My dad was in a gospel band, and was constantly playing country music. My mom also had a big impact on my musical tastes, as she is the one who introduced me to The Beatles, The Carpenters, and The Beach Boys at a very young age. As a teenager I got wrapped up in the boy band craze, and in college I found a new love for rock and rap. Now, I’m pretty well rounded as far as musical tastes go, I pretty much love it all.

I came across Dr. Dot’s MySpace page accidentally while I was in massage school, and thought she seemed like a really cool person, who had the most awesome job in the world. When I found out that she had a team of therapists working for her, it instantly became a career goal of mine, to join her team. I am honored to be a part of such a great team!

If you are in the San Antonio area, and are in need of a great massage, be sure to give Dr. Dot a call, and I’ll be there asap! I look forward to working on you!
