"It's the way that she smoothes away trouble…
With strong arms and a steady smile…
The world melts away when it's gotten to me…
It's her comfortable easy style…

And no woman before her…
No woman since then…
Has offered me warmth…
In the way that she can…
It's just Amy's healing hands…"

– Bel Stuart, folk-rock vocalist, songwriter, guitarist and pianist

I’ve been called a “massage ninja”, “muscle whisperer”, and “healer”. I’ve worked events and been told, “You made me completely forget I was in a room full of people.” Rachealle, the Dot Bot who conducted my audition, said, “She has a sneaky elbow that likes to go deep without you realizing it… worked up to a nice deep pressure slowly. No making me squeal.” In one session, I brought a friend’s neck and shoulder pain she’d had for over a year from a level 8 to a level 3. It got better with each session and it has stayed down since then, even when she goes months between massages. She had not thought this could be possible.

I’ve been massaging people all my life. Years before I was trained, a massage therapist friend of mine used to come to me to get rid of her migraines. She, among many, kept telling me I have a healing gift and need to be sharing it. I finally took that leap after she said, “Amy, you need to share this. You could give a good massage with one hand tied behind your back, blindfolded and high on Red Bull.” Haha!

I have truly found my calling. When I get the chance to massage, I feel like I’m exactly where I need to be, doing exactly what I was meant to do.

I have a great deal of respect for you artists and entertainers who bring the color and joy to our lives. I’d be absolutely honored to give back to you.

Hi,

my name is Bethany. I was raised by my mom who dealt with the constant paid from Fibromyalgia. From working on her, I developed the skill to do deep massage. When I started massage school I already had the depth needed for deep tissue massage. Since then I have fine tuned my work. I enjoy working on clients that allow deep work so improvement takes place. I can also do relaxation, but I prefer my clients to walk away with sustained health improvement. I have yet to find a person I couldn’t work deep enough!

I attended Alexandar’s School of Natural Therapeutics from 2006 to 2007. I was pregnant during school which put me behind a bit. While finishing all the loose ends, I had my second child. Long story short, I’ve been licensed since September 2010. Due to being pregnant during school, I developed a passion for pregnancy massage. Seeing the benefits a pregnant woman and her unborn child receive from massage is amazing. In addition to that, from all the work I did on my mom and wanting to alleviate her pain, I had my goal: to do deep work on people with constant pain and pregnant women!

I worked for a short while at a massage clinic in town doing auto injury and L&I claims. I learned a lot, but it just wasn’t for me. I work best being able to do my own style. I still do auto claims, but definitely not my favorite. I currently own my own business and am excited to be part of the Dr. Dot team.

I have a passion for music, more so creating music. I grew up singing and playing piano (self taught) and then at age 19 decided I needed to add the guitar (again, self taught) to my list of creating music! My spare time includes: being a mom and wife, playing guitar, piano and singing. I enjoy exploring the beautiful NW. When I’m not in Tacoma, I am normally found in Cannon Beach, OR.

I believe passion is what separates the good from the awesome! Massage is not just a job to me but a lifestyle. If you’re in the Seattle area, and want more than just a good massage, let me know!

See ya soon,

Bethany

My name is Singh.

I learnt massage in India in Ayurvedic style which combine the use of herbal oils for various body problems as per ancient studies. I also learnt Tantra, Yoga & meditation for peace.

In US, I studied Massage Therapy & bodywork from Potomac Massage Training Institute, DC. I graduated in 2007 & started working in the Graduate Clinic. I am trained in Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Thai Yoga, Myoskeletal Massage, Hot stones, all types of body scrubs, foot scrubs, facial, head massage, chair massage.

I am impressed by Myoskeletal Massage techniques taught by Dr. Dalton, and find these techniques help me give more relaxation to my clients suffering from pain, stress, tension caused by Sciatica, Fibromyaolgia, Lyme disease etc.

I am also interested in Lomi Lomi Massage which I feel is very grounded. I also learnt to work on clients operated upon for "Breast cancer" and learnt very tender lympathetic massage, which is very compassionate, soothing and relaxing. I try to give customized massage to my clients as per their body problems.

Massage in Northern Virginia

To book a massage with me, email me at info@drdot.com and put "Linda/VA" in the subject line, thank.

Hi, my name is Linda πŸ™‚

After Receiving my first hour massage, I was extremely interested and motivated to become a therapist myself. I enrolled in Piedmont School of Professional massage just a few weeks later. I was fortunate to land an internship at a Day Spa while I was still in School which gave me a lot of experience before even graduating. A month after Graduation I immediately signed up for continuing education credits to get certified in Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy (AOBT), which gave me a competitive edge with Deep Tissue seeking clients. In 2009 I served the Tour De Skyline Xtreme Bike Event.

With over two years of experience I am opening my own studio in VA. In addition to my studio I occasionally partner up/assist other therapists at various locations throughout Northern VA. In the mean time, I am going to school part time to work on a degree in Nursing. I am delighted to be part of Doctor Dot's team and I look forward to "getting my hands (and feet)" on her clients.

Massage in Seattle Washington

Hello, my name is Jessica. Welcome to the Pacific Northwest! I have been a massage practitioner for 8 years. I am currently working on becoming licensed in acupuncture. I work primarily with people who require deep tissue massage and medical treatment. However, I do incorporate energy balance to make your experience relaxing while being beneficial to your body. I am honored to work toward healing others and educating people about other methods for managing pain, alleviating chronic disease, and preventing illness through bodywork.

Throughout my career I have partnered with organizations such as Regence, Group Health and other various medical insurance carriers. I was privileged to provide massage, bodywork and education for their Alternative Healthcare divisions.

In my free time I enjoy spending it with my lovely family. We enjoy being outdoors, riding quads, and traveling whenever and wherever we can.

I LOVE music. All types. There is nothing better than LIVE music!! It can evoke the same parasympathetic response as massage. I love combing my two passions, and look forward to working on you. Email me at info@drdot.com (and put "Jessica/Seattle" in subject line) and I will get back to you asap πŸ™‚

Buh Bye Bush!

"Picture a bright blue ball just spinning, spinning free
Dizzy with eternity.
Paint it with a skin of sky, brush in some clouds and sea
Call it home for you and me.
A peaceful place or so it looks from space
A closer look reveals the human race.
Full of hope, full of grace, is the human face.
But afraid, we may our home to waste.
Theres a fear down here we cant forget hasnt got a name just yet
Always awake, always around singing ashes to ashes all fall down.
Now watch as the ball revolves and the nighttime calls
And again the hunt begins and again the bloodwind calls
By and by again, the morning sun will rise
But the darkness never goes from some mens eyes.
It strolls the sidewalks and it rolls the streets
Stalking turf, dividing up meat.
Nightmare spook, piece of heat, you and me, you and me.
Click, flashblade in ghetto night. rudies looking for a fight.
Rat cat alley roll them bones. need that cash to feed that jones
And the politicians throwing stones
Singing ashes, ashes all fall down.
Commissars and pin-striped bosses role the dice
Any way they fall guess who gets to pay the price.
Money green or proletarian gray, selling guns instead of food today.
So the kids they dance, they shake their bones
While the politicians throwing stones
Singing ashes, ashes all fall down.
Heartless powers try to tell us what to think
If the spirits sleeping, then the flesh is ink.
Historys page, it is thusly carved in stone
The futures here, we are it, we are on our own.
If the game is lost then were all the same
No one left to place or take the blame.
We will leave this place an empty stone
Or this shinning ball of blue we can call our home
So the kids they dance, they shake their bones
While the politicians are throwing stones
Singing ashes, ashes all fall down.
Shipping powders back and forth
Singing black goes south while white comes north
And the whole world full of petty wars
Singing I got mine and you got yours.
And the current fashions set the pace.
Lose your step, fall out of grace.
And the radical he rant and rage, singing someone got to turn the page
And the rich man in his summer home,
Singing just leave well enough alone
But his pants are down, his covers blown
And the politicians are throwing stones
So the kids they dance they shake their bones
Cause its all too clear were on our own
Picture a bright blue ball just spinning, spinning free
Its dizzying, the possibilities. ashes, ashes all fall down."

 The Grateful Dead 'Throwing Stones'
